Our Lady Consolata Parish is made up of two outstations:

Our Lady Consolata- OLC

St. Joseph Allamano- Kiu Kenda

The history of Our Lady Consolata, Kahawa Farmers parish spans many years starting in 1979 when a Catholic community of squatters and labourers working in the Mzungu coffee plantations, and mostly living in the congested labour camps, started using a nursery school hall, now KBA School Maziwa campus, as a venue for Sunday mass. The hall was the prayer house for every denomination where worship schedule was shared between different groups, but generally, the community was one cohesive group led by the Catholics.

The challenges of worshipping in the Nursery hall came in many forms. For example, as Mass was going on, another group of worshippers would come and start beating drums outside as an effort to hurry the Mass up. At other times, the worship schedule would be altered and come one Sunday, as Christians came in for Mass, they would at times find another group inside.

The building of the old church at the current site started in 1993 with low key fundraisers that would only fetch a few hundred shillings given that the Christians were very few and composed mainly of a community of low-income earners working in the Mzungu coffee plantations. Nevertheless, the project was not a mean feat for the church was built of earthen bricks while other outstations of the larger Ruaraka Parish were struggling to build their churches using timber off-cuts and iron sheets. It then became part of St Joseph Mukasa Parish, Kahawa West which was established in 1992.

The foundation stone for the new church was laid in late year 2000. The church was eventually consecrated on 20th June 2010 by His Lordship David Kamau, Auxiliary Bishop, Archdiocese of Nairobi.

Our Lady Consolata Parish, Kahawa Farmers was established as a parish by a decree on 22nd February 2022 on the feast of the chair of St Peter The Apostle and officially inaugurated by His Grace Most Rev. Philip Anyolo, Metropolitan Archbishop of Nairobi on 28th May 2022.
